Capri in Italy and Paraty in Brazil are Twin Towns

The town of Capri on the island of Capri is now a twin town, gemellaggio, of Paraty in Brazil, according to a Brazil Travel post, where you will see a photo of Paraty. Both towns are noted for their scenic coast, picturesque architecture, and good hotels and restaurants. Paraty is is also known for its unusual carnival celebration - the Paraty Mud Carnival.

Capri, one of only two towns on the island, sits above Marina Grande and is connected to the harbor by a funicular railway, or tram. The island has been a favorite for tourists since the days of ancient Rome and is still a top place to visit from the Amalfi Coast or Naples.
