Various Courier Services That You Need to Know

If you are looking for the easiest way to get your package from destination A to destination B then it is essential that you know the different services that are available from courier service. You must be able to select the service that is going to work best and suit you. There are many types of courier services to choose from, it is easy enough to know the one that give you quality services as long as you do research on the different ones that are available.

Same day delivery; this type of service is costly but again it's worth it. If you need something to be delivered urgently then this is the courier service you have to choose. The cost charges depend on the distance you want your commodity to be delivered to, if the distance is long then the charges are higher but if the distance is short then the lower the price. If you want something to be picked at your premises and to be delivered to some place at the same day then this is the service that you should go for. However, this type of service would not be needed for your all deliveries so you can use it for urgent commodities only.

Next day delivery; this is one of the most common service that is offered by the couriers. You can use this type of courier service when you are delivering goods that are semi-urgent. Usually you should have the parcel ready by a certain time then the courier will come pick it and deliver it to your destination the next day. There are always some restrictions with this type of service but it is usually possible to deliver the commodities to where they are supposed to be.

Standard delivery; this type of courier service is mostly dependent with the type of courier company you are going to use. So you should check the restrictions of their standard services and thus choose the best option available. Usually this type of service takes a couple of days to reach the specified destination.

Time slot delivery; this type of delivery is an amazing one; the package you are sending will be delivered at the time that you want it to be delivered. With the slot delivery you can ask your customer to wait for the commodity at a certain time. This type of service is more convenient for those people who need some commodities at a fixed time.

Tracked delivery; being able to know where your parcel is and at what time will it reach the person you are sending to is very important. If that's what you want then you can go for the tracked delivery services. This courier service should be used when you are sending very important documents. The conveyor will be informing you where your commodity is and at what time will it each to the person you are sending to.

These are just but a few courier services, to know more you can log in to the internet and be able to read the various services they offer.

10 Tips to Taste DOC - Wine in a Tuscan Cellar

Top choice for your holidays? If you love wine, Tuscany, no way.
Tuscany wine style is unique because nowhere else in the world the tasting of a wine blends so naturally with the culture of a Country.

Tuscans and wine, a passion dating back to the Etruscans and passing by Lorenzo de' Medici, who even named two of the main Florence roads the "Old Vine" and the "New Vine".

In Tuscany, the wine routes (there are at least 14) link the most important artistic Areas, so that driving through them becomes a really amazing journey, merged in hills rimmed with cypress trees, abbeys, churches and ancient castles at every turn and slope.

"I never had a passion for the landscapes, but the beauty of such a broader view coupled with the absence of factories, refineries and landfills penetrated the armor of my twentieth century soul, so
hostile to landscapes." said the writer Saul Bellow during his trip in Tuscany in 1992.

Tuscany is, during every season, the best place for wine. Equally charming both in sunny and rainy days, definitely is the best nourishment for grape.

Enjoy a glass of Brunello while you contemplate Montalcino ancient stones or sip a Vernaccia di San Gimignano with its towers skyline on the background: it is a unique experience that more and more tourists show to be interested in.

But if everyone is interested in having a wine tasting session, how can you be sure you are tasting winesthe wines in the most correct way?

Ten Commandments for a tasting doc

1. Contact the wine producer in advance.
In Tuscany there is a consortium that protects the production of every kind of wine: contact them before you leave in order to get a map of all producers in the area and get all the information you need in order to visit the cellars. Producers availability will be a prerequisite for the quality of your experience.

2. Be selective.
Choose a maximum of three/four producers a day, finding every day three or four cellars in the same area, so that it is easy to go from one to another in a reasonable time.

3. Stay for lunch
Ask if next to the winery there is a restaurant that serves the same wines appreciated during the tasting: usually there are menus conceived to accompany the wines at their best.

4. Do not knock on the barrels
The temptation may be strong, I know, but the risk of doing damage could be incalculable. The maturation of wine is a sophisticated process, so any stress can be fatal. If you visit the wineries with your children prepare them to do the same.

5. Go and taste in the morning.
Around 10-11 am, the capacities of the human organism are at their best, because they are not influenced by hunger (but go easy, or you could get drunk before lunch).

6. Ban excess for a while.
To grasp the countless nuances in a glass of good wine, you must make sure your palate is not altered by the presence of other strong flavors. Therefore in that days you'd better ban cigarettes, spicy foods, liquors, chewing gum and mints before visiting the cellars.

7. Hold the glass in the proper way.
The hand must stay on the base of the glass, because you don't have to heat the glass and you have to keep your hands off the nose, just in order to not be influenced by hands scent.

8. Breathe deeply at least two or three times, resting your nose between a test and the other.
So you will prevent it to get used to the perfumes of the wine. Meanwhile twirl the wine in the glass and it will release new and different flavors each time.

9. Prepare your mouth to the wine
Let's start with a very small quantity and then go on with real tasting. Inhale slightly to improve the taste sensations.

10. Involve all your 5 senses.
Sight: observe the clarity and color shades;
Olfaction: find out even the most subtle scents;
Hearing: useful to listen to the explanations that the producers will give you about the wine.
Tact: tact? Well, someone is supposed to pull out the credit card and pay the wines that you won't resist to take home!

3 Must-Visit Historical Attractions in Jersey

History enthusiasts who head to a hotel in Jersey for their holiday will be well catered for, as there are a wealth of fascinating sites to explore. From prehistoric relics to World War II defences, you will certainly be kept busy sightseeing.

Indeed, with so much to discover, it's worth carefully planning your itinerary before you arrive so you can pick what you most want to see during your stay. Here are three sites that are particularly worth visiting.

Elizabeth Castle

This beautiful fortress in St Helier was the home of Sir Walter Raleigh while he served as governor of Jersey between 1600 and 1603. It was constructed remarkably quickly, with work beginning in the 1590s.

A key element of its defensive structure is the fact it can't be reached when the tide is high. The walkway leading from St Aubin's Bay on the mainland becomes submerged with water, meaning that if it is not low tide you will need to take a boat to reach it and get back again.

In addition to Raleigh, the castle also offered shelter to Charles II as the English Civil War raged and his future on the throne looked in doubt. Centuries later, it was used as part of the Nazis' defensive strategy in World War II, with the troops refortifying it against possible attack from the allies. If you're interested in this period of time, it is also worth heading to the St Lawrence so you can visit the Jersey War Tunnels.

Mont Orgueil

This is perhaps the landmark that is most identified with Jersey as it is truly beautiful. Stood on a hill about Gorey Harbour, here you are rewarded with outstanding views across the sea, so you may wish to include a stop on a walk around the coast.

As well as being striking to behold from the outside, there is also much to catch the eye inside, from the seemingly endless network of winding stairs to the life-sized wooden soldiers who stand guard against attack.

There are some unusual exhibits inside for you to see, including the wheel of urine, which was used in medieval times by doctors attempting to diagnose their patients' diseases. There is also a witchcraft exhibition in the cellar and a wounded man soldier, showing the risks that could befall those who battled to protect the castle.

La Hougue Bie

When you come to this site, you have the chance to explore a beautiful medieval chapel, and something far older. Although you might not immediately notice, the mound the place of worship sits on is manmade and contains one of the best examples of a burial passage in Europe.

The dolmen was a pinnacle of the Neolithic community that lived here some 6,000 years ago, so the site provides a fascinating insight into an ancient way of life. There is also an archaeology museum for you to explore, where you can see everything from a woolly rhinoceros skull found locally to bronze weapons and old coins.

Nearby is a command bunker that was constructed by the Germans during the second world war and inside you will be able to see the memorial that has been left to the island people and others who were forced to work like slaves to construct the Germans' network of defences, including the Jersey War Tunnels.

Jersey.com can help history enthusiasts plan their perfect tour of the island. We will be able to give you information on the nearest historical sites to the hotel in Jersey you have chosen.

How to Make the Most of Whale Watching

With the killing of whales now condemned by most countries, and more interest paid to them, whale watching has become a most popular pastime worldwide.

From about 1971, commercial whale watching began in North America, with most interest paid to Fin and Beluga whales and as time went on, the Humpback whales and Southern Right aroused people's interest. Since the middle of the eighties, with worldwide surveys taking place, whale watching gained a large amount of interest. It began raking in revenue, as it became the latest novelty of the time for tourism, in 119 countries.

The viewing of whales in the countries that attract them to their shores for the spring season, encourages visitors in droves. The best and closest ways for observing them close up is by taking whale watching trips. The boat operators know the best areas for sighting whales and promise you an interesting day on the ocean.

Take along a windproof waterproof jacket, as the sea spray can make you quite wet. A sweater is recommended; if the wind blows, it can be quite chilly. Rather have it and not need it than not have it and freeze. Sunscreen and a hat for the sun are must-haves.

A pair of sunglasses protect against the glare and reflection on the sea surface of curious whales and dolphins that are nosy. Cameras and binoculars are also useful to have with you on a whale watching cruise.

The possibility of the boat standing idly on rolling swells may make you feel a little queasy if you are a person prone to seasickness, so be prepared accordingly. The best areas to sit when on a whale watching cruise is either at the bow or the raised areas, as it is not good to disturb the whales by motoring up too close to them. Whales do not like disturbance on their domain of sea.

The experience of watching whales accompanied by an expert relating information about their behavioural habits is certainly educational, and adds to the enjoyment of whale watching trips. Whale antics are a sheer delight to watch as they cavort among the rolling small waves, turning turtle, flapping fins or sending up high sprouts of water resembling those of a fountain. Furthermore, they really like to perform and splash about the waves. When they decide that they have had enough, they simply dive down below sea level, out of sight to their waiting whale fans!

3 Dog Daycare Benefits

Every pet owner loves his or her pets. Great pet owners treat their pets like a member of the family and for dog owners in particular there is no exception. They have to be sure of their dog's whereabouts and care at all times, and in order to ensure the emotional and physical health of the dog it is important to do so. They secure their homes when they are away with several types of alert devices and they even use collar GPS type of devices on their dogs to ensure their safe retrieval and home coming. They also keep up with the healthy interactions that their doggy has throughout the day by having a dog walker stop by and take their pets out for a walk a couple of times a day while they are at work. But no one is there to account for the other six to seven hours of the day when a lot of the stimulation and attention they need is not available because they are home alone.

So as an alternative many pet owners look to a dog daycare to look after their pet's needs throughout the day. Dog daycare facilities can offer day care for busy dog owners, grooming for regular maintenance and suites for overnight boarding. First, day car includes plenty of pack interaction, exercise and attention from facility workers. Second, grooming includes scrubbing, massages, removal of excess hair around eyes and mouth, for example, and nail care. Third, overnight board is just that. It is available for pet owners with schedules that take them out of town from time to time or they have family emergencies such as births or illness to attend to, in the mean time the family dog can stay with familiar faces and friends.

It is the best of both worlds for working professionals with unpredictable schedules because those occasional out of town trips, late evenings and emergencies don't have to mean neglectful evenings or weekends where the dogs are running circles by themselves in the yard. Nowadays dog daycare facilities are full service for all types of pet owners. Whether you need to bring them by each day while you are at work; once a week for a full day of grooming and pack interaction, while you run errands; or the occasional day or overnight necessity, there are accommodations that you can rely on when you need it.

Much like children's daycare facilities a dog daycare has specific requirements in order for your pet to stay with them. You must comply with DHLPP and rabies vaccinations, age limits and temperament preparations for being around a pack. The facility workers can help your dog with socializing and curbing destructive behaviors but the age and overall health of the dog play key roles in the success of their participation in a program such as this.

Cincinnati dog daycare will keep your pets comfortable and in good company. Before you go on vacation, check in with http://www.animalarkpet.com/

The Experience of a Lifetime - Whale Watching

No matter how many pictures, how many movies or how many documentaries you have seen about whales, nothing will quite ever prepare you for when you experience a whale up close and personal, in their natural environment. These massive, gentle giants of the sea will literally astound you, if not terrify you just a little bit as well. And with good reason, these are the largest mammals ever known to have existed and weighing up to 200 tons and floating past you in the water at a massive 30 meters in length, these are creatures that immediately demand respect.

South Africa is the world's premier whale watching destination, either from land, or boat, kayak or even from the comfort of your balcony - if you are lucky to have booked at the right place, and be up and about at the right time. During the months of June to November, along the Cape south coast, and even as far up as Durban, whales migrate to the warmer sea waters reaching the coast by June, after leaving the chilly Antarctic seas some time before.

They come down to the South African coast to mate, calve and rear their young making for a spectacular and astounding display and a chance for everyone to see how they play, and nurse their new-born calves. Hanging around for some 5 months during the South African winter, the whales make the most of their time along the coast, before they start their long journey back to Antarctica.

The mild South African winter climate and gorgeous sunny winter days, with average day time temperatures averaging about 16 C and dropping to 8 C in the evening, means that coastal towns like Hermanus on the south coast become swamped with holiday makers looking for their whale fix.

In fact, during the winter months, the abundance of whales in the bay is so vast, that driving along the coast road, you will easily be able to see the whales frolicking in the bay from the comfort of your car window. Whale watching tours will take you right out into the bay, and some of the accredited whale watching tours can take you up as close as 50 meters to these spectacular animals, and just as you think this massive multi-ton mammal is coming straight towards your boat, they dive underneath, giving you butterflies in your stomach and the sight of your life.

Young Person's Field Manual To The Eiffel Tower

A person's age has little bearing on his or her experience when visiting the Eiffel Tower. The monument has been an inspiration for people of all ages for several generations. Teens, adults, and seniors from around the world have enjoyed the wondrous, panoramic view of Paris as well as details of the tower's history.

That said, young people often show a unique enthusiasm about the structure. They admire its impressive frame as well as the remarkable perspective of the city as seen from the three observation decks. Below, we'll provide a brief guide for young adults on how to make the most of a visit to the Eiffel Tower.

Facts And Figures About The Eiffel Tower

Construction on the tower began in January 1887, and was completed in March 1889. The bottom portion was to serve as the entrance to the 1889 World's Fair. The monument is 1,050 feet high, and has three separate levels. There are over 1,700 steps, from the ground to the top of the tower, though public access to the top floor is only available by elevator.

The landmark is repainted every seven years to help maintain its appearance and protect it from the elements. The job requires more than two dozen workers, fifty tons of paint, and over eighteen months.

Over 200 million people have visited the tower since 1889. Millions more make the trek each year. Most people are unaware that the monument was scheduled to be torn down in 1909. The demolition plan was abandoned when it was discovered the tower could serve as a valuable communications tool.

What To Expect: Level By Level

The first floor is 187 feet from the ground. It is accessible by elevator or stairs. Due to the tower's shape, this level is large. It holds a restaurant (Le 58 Tour Eiffel), a small movie theater, post office, and an observatory. It also offers an observation deck from which you can enjoy a clear view of the buildings, treetops, and streets below.

The second floor stands approximately 360 feet from the ground. It too can be reached by elevator or stairs. It is much smaller than the first level, and thus there are fewer attractions. One of them is the highly-rated Le Jules Verne restaurant. This floor provides an excellent viewpoint for photographs of the Parisian cityscape.

The third level is more than 900 feet high. It is only accessible to the public by elevator. The draw of this floor is its observation deck, from which visitors can see nearly 42 miles in every direction (with good weather).

Stairs Versus Elevators: Which To Choose

Most tourists take the elevators, which means waiting in long lines during the high-traffic seasons (spring and summer). It is not unusual for the lines to require three to four hours during weekend afternoons. Taking the stairs saves an enormous amount of time since fewer people are willing to make the climb. Many young people will enjoy the challenge.

It's also worth noting that tickets to ride the elevators carry substantial fees. Taking the stairs is much less expensive.

Preparing For Your Visit: A Few Final Tips

Visitors should take light jackets, even if the weather feels comfortably warm. The third floor of the Eiffel Tower receives strong gusts of wind due to its height.

Also, to avoid crowds, especially during the summer, plan to visit the tower during the early morning or late evening. If possible, do so on a weekday rather than the weekend. The lines are shorter, and the observation decks are less crowded.

It's a good idea to bring a camera to take photos of the city from the observation decks. Binoculars can also be useful, especially when observing the city from the third floor.

A lot of young people find their trip to the Eiffel Tower to be unforgettable. Not only is it a chance to enjoy an unparalleled view of Paris, but also an opportunity to experience an important piece of history.

If you have 10 people in your party, one meal at a restaurant can be really expensive. If you choose to cook a meal at your place, you can save a lot of money. Of course, while you are on vacation you probably will not feel like cooking every meal, but at least you have this option.

Another key feature of condo rentals is that they normally offer a lot of amenities. This will vary depending on your location and the actual unit you choose to stay in. Other amenities include activities for the children. Many of these have playgrounds, game area and some even have their own private movie theatres. The place you stay may also have a fitness room for the guests to use. If this is something you enjoy, be sure to ask if they have one before booking your room.

European Microstates: Luxembourg Travels

Luxembourg was founded over 1,000 years ago and became a nice, neat and lively city. A wide variety of architectural patterns, bridges, cones and spikes of palaces and churches, monuments, parks, buildings of different periods and styles form a harmonious ensemble. The capital is the cultural center of the Duchy. Tourists will be delighted to visit the National Library, the Municipal Theatre, the Conservatory, the Symphony Orchestra, Luxembourg Radio, and the film studio. Particular attention should be paid to the National Museum, which gathers many of the exhibits including a marble bust of Septimius Severus, bronze statues of the Roman era, tombstones and fragments of medieval sculptures, the collection of minerals, exhibits of decorative and applied arts, and the beautiful paintings of German and Dutch painters.

In addition to the National Museum, the city is famous for many other museums and art galleries, such as Luxembourg City History Museum, the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Folk Life, the Museum of Weapons and Fortifications, the Museum of Ancient Musical Instruments, the Municipal Art Gallery and others.

Luxembourg is also a very beautiful city. The two rivers, Petrus and Alzeta, divide Luxembourg in two parts. In the upper town, you can see the houses built in Gothic style, the steeples and the towers against the background of cliffs. In view of this particular location, the city's 111 bridges play a special role in the architectural outlook of Luxembourg. In the center of the upper city, one can see the beautiful residence of Grand Duke. The palace with elegant turrets and a quaint faade is built in the Moorish style, in harmony with the House of the Parliament and the City Hall, built in 1830 in the best traditions of classicism. The city's main square looks even more gorgeous due to the Baroque cathedral of Notre Dame. In addition to the above mentioned monuments, the attractions of the Upper Town include the ruins of the Roman watchtower, the rock chapel of St. Kieran, the Gothic cathedral of Saint-Michel, the Palace of Justice and many others.

Luxembourg is home to various festivals and noisy celebrations. In February, there is a colorful carnival, in April one celebrates the Feast of the First Flowers, and the Catholic Octave festival. Sumptuous feasts fall on June and August, when wine festivals begin.

In the suburbs, you can see the old mill converted into an artistic workshop, the Ansemburg and Holenfels fortresses, and the thermal springs in Mondorf-les-Bains. One can take a boat walk on the river Moselle and explore its picturesque valley, visit the famous vineyards and watch spectacular boating and sailing competitions.

In addition to the capital, the northern town of Clervaux, has become a real hot spot for tourists due to its Gothic architecture and the unique impression of a medieval town.

Less than 12 miles from here is Vianden, which is considered one of the most beautiful and picturesque cities. This city is famous for the fact that Victor Hugo lived in it. The house, where he lived, has been turned into a museum that holds some things and books of the great French writer. To the east from this area, there is the so-called 'Luxembourg Switzerland' which is highly praised for its amazing nature. The landscape around the half-ruined fortress of Beaufort is especially beautiful.

The city of Echternach is one of the oldest cities in the country, and is about 1000 years old. There are many ancient buildings with fancy vaults and arches in this city. Echternach, along with the capital, is a recognized tourist destination, a place of numerous festivals and parades.

Travel agents in Luxembourg organize domestic and international travels for local tourists and Luxembourg tour operators are proficient and effective in arranging country visits for both Luxembourg and its Benelux neighbors.

Most Livable Cities of the Planet Are in the Australian Grounds

Economist Intelligence Unit periodically publishes the Ranking of Global Livability of different cities throughout the world. Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide earned the top places in the list of 10 top livable cities previous year. Vancouver went over the rank and attained the rank as the top livable city in the world in 2011. But, this time, Melbourne replaced Vancouver as the top most livable city. Australia evened scores with Canada as the top most livable country with four cities, making it to the top ten list. Multiple parameters such as:
Public safety from illegal activities,Public safety from government,Living cost,Quality of health care,Censorship level,Cultural availability,Level of corruption,Food and drinks,Quality of education,Consumer goods and services,Transportation quality,Private utilities & services quality,Public utilities and services quality, andSound climate

These factors were evaluated and ranked to find out livable cities of the world. The lifestyle offered by these world cities are categorized into five major categories -
Education (10%),Healthcare (20%),Stability (25%),Culture & Environment (25%), andInfrastructure (20%).

In 2011, Vancouver was selected as the top livable city with elevated scores mainly for hosting Winter Olympics and Paraolympics in 2010. Canada put money in rising infrastructure and culture & environment of Vancouver since it hosted the sports events that subsequently led in promoting of scores in those categories. A lot of spending was made in security also and this too led Vancouver to top the list. However, later within a year, Vancouver falls down the rank and Melbourne makes its way to the lead as the most livable place in the world. Frequently, Melbourne was listed as one of the most livable cities in the world after the analysis is conducted by Intelligence Team of Economist. It is no surprise that Melbourne has the topmost score as the most livable city, since the city offers healthcare quality, low corruption, weather, public safety, high quality education, public cultural activities, and proper infrastructure. Melbourne has taken a lot of advances recently, thanks to the initiatives taken by the Government of Australia:
The price of lodging is bit by bit getting very much inexpensive. In comparison to other cities, Melbourne has a larger number of private rental homes.
The Government of Australia has taken measures for green living and for that, living price is reduced because of decrease in energy and water usage
Melbourne upgraded its transport infrastructure and so, private & public transportation facility has enhanced. Government of Australia has extensively invested in improving infrastructure. Among the various Australian cities, public transport system of Melbourne is widely utilized.
Oil and mortgage vulnerability of Melbourne is decreased as well
The industry of healthcare of Melbourne has also improved greatly and it attracts patients not only from different cities, but also from different countries

Melbourne has scored top in livability rankings, however there are other cities in Australia that have also grabbed positions in the list. Among the top ten livable cities, the names of Australian cities like Sydney, Perth, and Adelaide can as well be found. These cities of Australia always find a way to make to the top most livable cities in the world. In 2012, Brisbane could not make it to the top 10 livable cities, but from 2002 to 2004, this city found a spot in the top 10 list. Through out Australia, economic performance, infrastructure, and living environment have improved and so, many cities are able to score higher. Economist exposed that these cities consistently provide a higher quality of living compared to other cities of the world. Moreover, Australia also is growing its services industry and demand by providing better quality services than other countries of the world, which is not only improving service export, but also improving the livability index of different cities. However, there are doubts whether this rank is good or not. Just like Canada, Australia is also making itself to the top position as it is less safety hazard, violence-less, and crime-less news producing country. Australia is a country with many optimistic factors and it is not surprising to see the country as one of the best places to live just after heaven. For these and many reasons, Australian Visa, Australian Immigration, and Australian PR is heavenly for many lower livable cities in Americas, Europe, and Asia. If you also have requirement for Australian Visa, Australian Immigration, and Australian PR, contact Synch1 for free assessment and help you in devising strategies for your stay in Australia.

Cornish Beach Holidays

The county of Cornwall is located on a peninsular, so beaches are more or less inevitable when you holiday here. And considering how beautiful the coastal landscape is, this is a good thing. In fact, the most common reason that people visit Cornwall is to enjoy the coast. Sun, sand and frolic, with gorgeous fresh seafood thrown in and there you have it, a Cornish beach holiday!

The southern beaches overlook the English Channel while the north Cornwall coast tumbles into the Atlantic Ocean. The northern coastline has endured stormy Atlantic weather for centuries, resulting in the dramatic cliffs we see today. There are plenty of coves and bays nestled along this coastline. There are many fine surfing beaches here too.

The western coast of Cornwall is also popular among holiday makers. Erosion of the predominantly granite coastline has led to vast stretches of fine golden sand. During summer months west Cornish towns like St. Ives and Hayle are inundated with tourists wishing to enjoy the gorgeous the beaches. Hayle estuary is also an important wildlife habitat, mainly for migratory birds.

Southern and south eastern beaches are also sandy, although there are sheltered patches where the sand becomes coarser and sometimes pebbly. In general though, there are numerous stretches of sandy beach along the Cornish coastline. Most beaches are family friendly, as well as good for surfing. If surfing is your main objective, you may want to search for beaches that are especially well known for this.

A number of travel websites offer detailed ratings and information about individual beaches. These can be very useful while planning your holiday. You can also search for a list of blue flag Cornish beaches online. The blue flag status is awarded to beaches by an independent international environmental body, and signifies environmental excellence and the development of sustainable infrastructure. Some blue flag beaches in Cornwall are Porthtowan, Porthmeor and Porthminster, in St. Ives.

Cornwall is a popular destination not just among the Brits, but internationally as well. The spectacularly dramatic coastline and stunning views are somewhat legendary. The county is used to receiving visitors and so is well equipped to meet all tourists' needs. There is a wide variety of hotels and seaside resorts, and cottages and B&B's are also popular among travellers.

Cornish beaches are also favoured by campers. There are a number of campsites for tents and caravans across Cornwall, mostly along the beaches. Most Cornish campsites have world-class modern facilities, so camping or caravanning offers the best of both the worlds - modern comforts as well as an outdoor experience. This is probably what makes them so popular among families.

Cornwall has seen something of a culinary revolution in recent years. While the county has always been famous for its traditional treats such as clotted cream, Cornish pasties and the famous Cornish cream fish stew, lately a number of fine dining and even Michelin starred restaurants have sprung up in near several Cornish beaches. Delicious food is just another reason to head to a Cornish beach!

The Experience of a Lifetime - Swimming With Dolphins

Swimming with dolphins has been on the top of many peoples bucket lists since the beginning of time. People who have had the once in a lifetime chance to experience this amazing journey, have further encouraged people to travel half way around the world at times, to have the ultimate dolphin encounter.

The curious and playful nature of dolphins have enticed and fascinated humans for decades, and it has only been in recent years that people have started to notice the amazing ability that dolphins have when interacting with those with special needs - emotionally, mentally or physically. And what a profound impact that the dolphin encounter has on particular people, it is almost as if they are able to feel, or to sense exactly what people need.

In recent years people are recommending dolphin encounters to people and families who have loved ones with special needs to reach out and to make the journey to a place where their loved ones will be able to have such an encounter. The opportunity to get into the water usually starts as a dolphin or whale watching cruise.

It is absolutely breath taking to see the behaviour of the dolphins around physically disabled and pregnant women, and to see how protective they immediately become, swimming closer to the person as soon as they enter the water.

People who have suffered a loss or experienced a trauma in their lives have found a dolphin encounter to have had a profound effect on their lives. People have likened the experience of swimming with dolphins to a spiritual awakening or a spiritual experience that has changed their lives forever. The almost out of body experience reaches people on a heightened level of consciousness that they were not even aware that they were able to feel and people who have experienced these very personal encounters emerge feeling exhilarated and almost as if they have a fresh start in life.

Dolphins are naturally curious and inquisitive creatures and although there has been much negative press on how people are somehow hurting or disturbing the animals in their own environment, it is actually quite the opposite. Many of the animals are quite used to whale watching cruises and, being that swimmers are guests in the dolphin's environment, if the animals themselves feel at all threatened when swimmers enter the water, they, and the rest of their pod, will simply move away. Even if swimmers tried to chase the animals, there is no way that they would be able to reach them.

A dolphin encounter can be the most moving and life changing experience and one that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and if getting right in the water with the animals is not really your thing, you can still experience the dolphins by taking a dolphin and whale watching trip into areas where their pods can be found.

Popular Travel Destinations: Spain

Spain is often recognized as the single greatest historical museum in the open, surrounded by beautiful beaches and resort areas, perhaps the best in Europe. Also a true miracle of nature in terms of animal species variety and the beauty of its landscapes, Spain is a perfect place for aesthetic recreation away from city bustle.

Spain is a country with glorious history. The most ancient monuments of culture in Spain belong to the Paleolithic period. These are rock paintings on the cave walls of Altamira. The architecture of the Iberians is represented by the ruins of the gigantic stone walls in Tarragona. The Romans left mainly civil constructions in Spain, such as water mains, bridges, aqueducts, amphitheatres, and arches. One of the Roman bridges, the Alcantara River Tagus, is perfectly preserved. This bridge features six arches with the middle one being a triumphal arch. The ruins of the Roman amphitheater for 6,000 spectators in Merida and Sagunto are simply majestic. Also, there are ancient arches in Medisaneli and Bar built in 107-102 BC.

The Arabs exerted a great influence on medieval Spanish art and architecture. The Alhambra palace-fortress in Granada, the Mosque of Cordoba, La Giralda minaret in Seville are world-famous tourist destinations. Alhambra is the palace-fortress of the 13th century, a fine example of Muslim architecture. Depending on the light, its walls and towers change color during the day. Especially beautiful is the Lions courtyard, surrounded by columns of white marble. In the courtyard, there is a fountain, with its huge marble bowl resting on 12 lions. In the palace, there are some great halls, including the Hall of Ambassadors; the Royal Hall with gold lace arches resembling stalactites, the Hall of Secrets with amazing acoustic effects.

The Mosque Cathedral of Cordoba is the largest mosque in the world, second to the famous Kaaba in Mecca. With its 19 aisles with 32 arches, it occupies a large area. Moreover, it is a double monument since it combines a mosque and a cathedral. In 1236, after the city had been captured by the Christians and the Muslims had fled to North Africa, King Ferdinand III ordered to turn the mosque into a Christian church, and the minaret was transformed into a bell tower.

Numerous medieval castles, Paradors, have survived in Spain. They are usually located in the quiet corners and provide excellent opportunities for leisure and for work. Now they form a complex of buildings that combine strict architectural lines with modern interiors and provide a swimming pool, tennis courts, and gyms.

Madrid, the capital of Spain, is famous for its Prado National Museum of painting and sculpture, the museums of Modern Art and Natural Sciences, Archaeological and Ethnographic museums. Tourists will be thrilled to see the Royal Palace of the 18th century and Sabatini gardens, the Church of San Francisco el Grande, Buena Petiro Park, and the Zoo.

Barcelona is another major tourist destination which attracts tourists with its Marine and Archaeological Museums, the Cathedral of the Holy Family, the Museum of Catalan Art and Pablo Picasso, the Montjuic Castle, and the Church of San Pablo del Campo.

Zaragoza is famous for the residence of the Aragonese kings of Castillo de la Alyaferis. Toledo will help you to get acquainted with the architecture of the Moorish period, including the Alcazar castle, Gothic church of San Juan Delos Reyes, and Square Plaza del Zoko.

Spanish tourism industry is widely regarded as one of the busiest in the world. Millions of tourists visit the country and Spain has developed a very sophisticated network of professional Spanish travel agents and Spanish tour operators.

Beach Rentals for Your Next Vacation

When you're looking to escape hotel rooms and suites, look into some of the rentals that are available for your next vacation. If you plan to rent a single family home or condo during your stay, you'll want to get together with everyone who's joining your vacation group and talk about the type of home you'd like to rent during vacation. Enjoy having your own space during your next vacation!

Before you begin looking into housing options consider how many people are going to be staying at the house with you. Are you having a huge family reunion with all the kids and their families? Or are you simply looking for a cute little cottage for you and your spouse? Also consider the age groups that will be represented. Some home owners are hesitant to rent their vacation home out to a family with many young children.

Discuss a budget. How much can you afford to spend on rentals? What types of meals are you planning to prepare? Will you be eating out at all during your vacation? What about other activities? Are you planning to visit an amusement park or other attractions in the area? Or will you be renting a kayak or paddle boat while visiting the beach? All these items need to be considered as you develop your budget.

You can find rentals either through private home owners or through an agency. If you work with a private owner, you can often negotiate a lower price. However, through an agency, you'll have more options for your vacation home. You'll also have less work to do - Simply let the agent know what you're looking for and he'll pull up a list of options. No matter which venue you choose, negotiate the price as low as you can. In order to do this effectively, you'll need to research ahead of time and find out various prices for renting different types of homes in the same vacation area.

If you're planning to vacation during a popular vacation time, you'll definitely want to reserve your vacation home early, months before your vacation. It will be incredibly hard to find the type of house with the amenities you'd like at a price you'd like if you wait until the last minute.

While you're enjoying your vacation, keep the home owner in mind! Treat the furniture, dishes, bedding, linens, games, electronics, and any other privately owned items with respect. Most rental home owners have a list of rules for you to follow while you are staying in their home. These are written down for the home owner's protection. If you break these rules and cause damage, you'll be held responsible for repairs. Whether that's through giving up your deposit or paying out money through a lawsuit, you should avoid that situation by following house rules and treating your vacation home with the care you would show your own home.

Many vacation rentals owners also include a list of cleaning that needs to be done before leaving. Perhaps they'd like the bed linens and towels taken into the laundry room, any dirty dishes loaded in the dishwasher, empty the trash, and the air conditioning set at a certain temperature. Whatever it is, go ahead and finish it up before you leave.

It was named after the Copacabana Palace Resort, which has the reputation for attracting society's elite, the beach has lovely white sands, parties around the clock and plenty of activities from volleyball to swimming and soccer to sunbathing. Here are five cool facts about Copacabana beach.

Plenty of Refreshments - Copacabana Beach has tons of vendors so getting a refreshment is never difficult. The high season is from November to March and this is usually when prices are higher than in off-season.

Lots of Souvenirs - The beach is constantly filled with vendors promoting all types of things. This is how a lot of people make their full time income. Anything from shirts, towels, bracelets and souvenirs, you can find souvenirs to remind you of the awesome time you had in Copacabana.

At night, you can find a really good selection of souvenirs. People set up tents in the median on the main street, Avenida Atlantica. They only start doing it at night so you'll have to wait. For me, it was best to go to when the sun was setting. You can also see Sugar Loaf mountain from Copacabana beach and it was such an amazing sight.

There's Something About Sardinia!

We have just returned from a flying visit to Sardinia and the three-night experience has left me exhausted, at least a kilo heavier, and madly in love with this wonderful Italian island!

A mere 1 hour and 20 minute flight from our base in Austria, the island of Sardinia is perfect for a weekend getaway, and if you enjoy Italian food and wines as much as we do, you are in for a real treat!

Despite the fact that the island is just stirring from its winter hibernation, the friendly restaurants and sea front cafes are beginning to dust off the cobwebs in preparation for the start of their summer season in mid May, and there is plenty going on for those looking for action.

We spent most of our time wandering around the cobbled streets of the old town, eating pizza, pasta and gelato, while savouring the fine wines made on the island. Italy is well known for its culinary delights and these guys certainly know how to make pasta! I know understand the true meaning of "al dente" and realise I have been eating overcooked pasta for the past 30 something years... Oh well, you live and learn as they say!

The wines in Sardinia are exceptional and one particular grape - Cannonau (otherwise known as Grenache in France or Garnacha in Spain) tickled our taste buds in all the right places! Rich, full-bodied and often served in a litre carafe, this beautiful red wine complements all Italian food and is the perfect afternoon drink while sitting on the balcony admiring the view.

There are numerous day trips and excursions to enjoy in Sardinia, but as we were only there for three days we decided to take a boat ride to the "Grotta di Nettuno" and visit the picturesque village of Stintino.

Grotta di Nettuno or Neptune's Cave is a stalactite cave set approximately 30km from the port of Alghero. Discovered in the 18th century this magnificent grotto is well worth a visit, although at this time of year the boat ride is bumpy to say the least, so my tip of the day would have to be - skip breakfast!

Stintino is a charming village set on the northern coast of Sardinia and has one of the most stunning beaches I have ever seen in Europe. Pure white sand, crystal clear turquoise water, and a fantastic panorama across the protected island of Asinara, this was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip.

I always wanted to go and now I can finally say I have been to Italy - another country crossed off the bucket list and added onto the 'places to revisit list'!

More People Move to the Costa Del Sol Than Leave

Although 1,820 EU citizens left the Costa del Sol during 2011, another 8,445 came to replace them, according to the National Institute of Statistics. This massive increase has come despite an overload in media reporting of the difficulties of moving to Spain and recent reports claiming a huge return of expatriates to their home country. Many of those who did leave were in their late twenties and early thirties and have returned in search of greater career possibilities. The Costa del Sol is still very popular amongst retired people who are in search of warmth and a place where their pension will stretch a little further.

It is easy to understand the attraction of retiring to Spain. Property prices along the coast are dropping again, after a boom a few years ago. It is once more becoming a buyers market, with opportunities to grab a bargain on the increase. Also attractive to many expatriates is that English is widely spoken. Many of the banks, shops, restaurants and health centres along the Costa del Sol are staffed by bi-lingual employees. Also many international supermarkets offer food and treats from home. It is an ideal spot to make a home from home, with regular low price flights to and from other European destinations; family and friends can visit often and trips back home are easy to arrange.Always appealing to those fed up with clouds and rain, are the all year round sun and warm weather conditions on the Costa del Sol, lying on the southernmost point of Europe. Even during winter, temperatures regularly rise above 20 degrees (Celsius). There is more of an outdoor social lifestyle than is possible in wetter countries. The 161 kilometres of Mediterranean coast stretching from Manilva to Nerja are lined with beach bars, cafés and restaurants, where sitting outside over a daily coffee with friends is part of a way of life.

Investment in motorway and road infrastructure has made it easier to drive around the Costa del Sol. New roads link motorways and bypasses have eased congestion in the towns. Car hire in Spain is also easily available at affordable prices; competition amongst the many companies offering car hire at Malaga airport has kept their prices low. With all this on offer as well as the golden sandy beaches, it is likely the trend will continue and the expatriate community will grow rather than disappear as many seemed to believe.

If you are considering a visit to Spain, cheap car hire at all airports in Spain can be easily reserved in advance at http://www.spainairportcarhire.com/

A Guide to This Summer's Sporting Events in Wales

This summer promises to be packed with thrilling sporting events and nowhere is this more true than Wales, which is why it is such a great base for a short break in the UK. Here, you can fill your days with watching football, golf or cricket.

To find out some of the top events set to take place - and decide what you will buy tickets for - read on.

Olympic Football

The whole of the UK is getting excited about the impending London Olympic Games and Wales will be playing an important role in the occasion, by hosting several of the football matches. Indeed, the first will kick off two days before the opening ceremony, with the Great British women's team going head to head with New Zealand on July 25th at the Millennium Stadium.

As well as the women's football events, the decision of who is named the men's bronze team will also be decided at the Cardiff venue. If you aren't able to travel to the Ukraine or Poland this year to see one of the Euro 2012 games, this should more than make up for it.

ISPS Handa Wales Open

Wales has its fair share of good-quality courses, which is what makes it such a popular destination for a golfing break. The numerous professional tournaments that take place each year just adds to this - and the International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS) Handa Wales Open is one great example.

The competition will be held at Celtic Manor Resort between May 31st and June 3rd this year and it has an honourable prestige, having been set up by Dr Haruhisa Handa to raise money for charitable causes. Previous victors have included Paul McGinley in 2001, Ian Poulter in 2003 and Graeme McDowell in 2010, so you will see some top-notch golf if you book a ticket to the event.

However, you shouldn't spend your entire golfing weekend as a spectator and you must also endeavour to spend some of your trip on the green. You could play at a links course where you get to admire views out over the sea, or stick to somewhere near the city so you can round off your day with dinner and drinks at a fancy restaurant.

England v South Africa NatWest Series One-Day International

This summer is not all about the Olympics and Euro 2012 - although it's easy to forget that! Cricket fans should head to Wales on August 24th for the England v South Africa NatWest Series One-Day International at the Swalec Stadium. This thrilling event will decide whether or not England can continue its so-far unbroken record of success when playing on Cardiff soil.

Ironman Wales

If you simply can't decide which sporting event to check out, Ironman Wales is a great bet for a summer activity holiday. On September 16th in Pembrokeshire you can see not one but three different athletics events, as competitors swim, cycle and run their way to glory.

For a break to remember, you could take a leaf out of their book and arrange your own - albeit less ambitious - triathlon, by walking and cycling in the Pembrokeshire countryside, before heading for a dip in the sea.

Glanusk International Horse Trials

This is a great day out for the whole family, so if you're travelling with kids bring them along between July 5th and 8th so they can join in with all the fun. This is a prestigious equestrian event, with everyone from Zara Phillips to William Fox Pitt competing in the past. You can watch events such as show jumping, dressage, mounted games and cross country while you're here and if your kids like horses this will be a real high point of their holiday.

Not only that, but there's plenty of other fun scheduled as well. You can browse the stores at the fair, help your little ones with the specifically-organised kids' activities and even have a go at quad biking.

ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup

Not all sporting events take place on dry land and for something especially thrilling you should head to Cardiff between June 8th and 10th to see the ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup. This is far more than just a gently paddle in a canoe, and will put competitors through their paces by seeing them tackle obstacles, ride against the tide and manoeuvre along a 300 m rapid.

Some of the best boatmen in the world come to compete in this event and a few of these teams will also be present at the 2012 Olympic Games, giving you a taster of the excitement ahead.

Visit Wales can help you plan the perfect summer activity holiday - and when the season is as packed with sporting events as it is this year, that shouldn't be hard. For instance, you could plan a golfing weekend, but you may want to make your golfing break even more memorable by booking tickets to the ISPS Handa Wales Open.

What Makes a Premium Villa Premium?

Renting a villa is a great idea when going on a vacation. However, not just any villa can do you justice or satisfy all of your vacation needs. If you are looking into getting a more expensive premium villa, you may be asking yourself the question, "Just what makes a premium villa premium?" The answer in this question lies very close to answering the question of finding a piece of real estate. When looking for a premium villa, or seeing if the one you are considering is truly premium, four aspects should be carefully considered: location, amenities, view and cost.

The rule in real estate is location, location, location and this rule applies equally well to premium villas. A luxury villa is truly premium if it's located nearby to other points of interest, such as the beach, a bar, or downtown to a nearby city. Be weary of villas that are located in the middle of nowhere or that have few attractions close by. The villa should also have a shuttle bus service to shuttle out guests. The villa should also offer quite a bit of privacy, likely being surrounded by trees and other natural boundaries so you can truly feel relaxed on your vacation without the noise of the outside world disturbing you, or feeling like you're being spied on. Location makes a luxury villa truly premium.

Amenities are the second thing to consider when looking for a premium villa to settle down in for your vacation. The amenities are truly the most important thing in decide whether or not the villa itself can be considered premium or just cliché. A jacuzzi, shower, full kitchen, balcony and luxurious entertainment center should all be standard on the villa. The villa should also be staffed around the clock by knowledgeable people who can prepare meals and do other chores.

The view from the villa is another important aspect that can help determine whether or not a given villa is truly premium. You should be able to see breathtaking views from the villa, either of the nearby town, the beach, or anything else that is exemplary of the area that you are visiting. The villa should not be situated in such a way that most of the windows are facing gates or walls, and should not be overlooking a dreary scene. In order to be truly premium, luxurious, and worth the cost for your vacation, the villa should offer splendid views from anywhere inside it.

Finally, the cost should be considered when trying to find if a villa is premium or not. The villa should not be ridiculously expensive or ridiculously cheap. Generally, a cost of $2000 to $3000 per night depending on the season is reasonable for a premium villa. Less should arouse suspicion as to the quality of the villa, and more should make you second guess whether or not the villa is artificially expensive to make it seem better.

A luxury villa is only premium if the location, amenities, view and cost are right. Don't consider anything without one of these key elements.

Brazil women are known around the globe for their amazing beauty. They are exotic, in great shape and like to show off their physique. They smile a lot and love to have a great time. There are lots of famous supermodels from Brazil and they have a great zeal for life that is unmatched. When guys see a Brazil beach girl, their heart skips a beat.

#2 - Beaches

The beaches of Brazil are part of what makes this country such a popular place as well as what the lack of clothing people wear when they go to the beaches in Brazil. Brazilian beach girls have made the extremely itty bitty bikini very popular worldwide. But Brazilian beaches are about greater than swimwear. Beaches in Brazil usually show up when top beaches in the world are listed.

#3 - Brazilian Coffee

Brazilian Coffee shows that not all coffee options are equal. There is a distinct level of quality and with coffee from Brazil, more than likely this is due to the fact that Brazil is the largest producer of cofee in the whole world. Between the numerous harvesting methods, reduced acidity, dry processing methods, direct advertising and three rich growing regions, it isn't a surprise that Brazil coffee is as popular as it is.

#4 - Capital

The current Brazil capital is Brasilia, but it hasn't always been. Up until 1960 Rio de Janeiro was the capital of Brazil beginning in 1763, and before that it was Salvador from 1549 to 1763. This new capital city was in limbo for about a hundred years following a bill that was introduced for the Brazilian assembly suggesting that a new capital be made that was safer, away from the ocean where it was more likely to be invaded by opposing navies. The bill was passed and stayed in the constitution but it wasn't executed till Juscelino Kubitschek became President of Brazil and coined the slogan, "50 years in 5."

#5 - Language

The Brazil language is a mixture of many different languages. Although the official language of Brazil is Portuguese, you'll discover that 82% in the men and women speak English. The Spanish language tends to make up yet another 10.7%, with Asian and Pacific Island languages also becoming spoken there. You may also hear Italian, German, Amerindian, and Japanese spoken in Brazil, the largest nation in South America. It truly is a diverse country.

As you can see from these interesting Brazil facts, it is a country that has much we can learn from and experience. I encourage you if you have the chance to experience the culture in Brazil and travel there yourself.

Southwest Asia - A Region of Great Geo-Political Importance

Learning about Southwest Asia

That Southwest Asia is in the news very often these days should be of no surprise to any person because this part of the world has always had a very important role to play in the world's history. Straddling the highly populated regions between the Indian Subcontinent and Europe, this region consists of the western parts of Asia as well as the Middle East. The countries that it consists of include Armenia, Cyprus, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen as well as Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar.

Many of the countries of Southwest Asia have been blessed with abundant oil reserves and this has brought great prosperity and turmoil to the region during modern times. The region was no less important in ancient times because of its position on the lucrative trade routes between Asia and Europe. Parts of it are immensely fertile thanks to great rivers that provide sustenance to the populations living here.

This part of Asia has a very complex culture, having been exposed to a huge number of invasions over the millennia. Some of the oldest cities in the world are located here, some of which have been occupied continuously over thousands of years. Damascus is actually the oldest continuously occupied city in the world. As a matter of fact, each country here has its distinct culture. At the same time, the unifying element is that most of these countries have overwhelmingly Muslim populations. It should be pointed out here that most of the Islamic countries of this region have sizable Christian populations (and Jewish populations to a smaller extent). After all, this region has been the cradle of three major religions.

The geopolitical importance of Southwest Asia is so great that problems that originate here tend to resonate all over the world. It has also been the setting for many of the conflicts of the twenty first century. In fact, many people believe that conflict in this region could be the cause of the next world war since a few of the countries here have nuclear arsenals of their own. It is for this reason that world leaders sit up and take notice when countries in this region resort to sabre rattling. Political scientists, economists and historians alike cannot afford to neglect studying this important part of the world. Neither can businessmen because of the immense potential that this area possesses.

The author has spent a lot of time learning about Southwest Asia and other related topics.
