Book Cheap Flights to Manila to Enhance Your Vacation Experience

If you're planning to take a vacation in the Philippines, you should look for cheap flights to Manila. Staying in Manila grants you easy access to different mode of transportation leading to other ideal recreation spots like beach resorts, historic locations, and shopping malls.

Traveling by Air

Manila is accessible via two major airports: the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (or NAIA), and Clark International Airport.

Over 30 international airlines and all of the Philippines' major local airlines land and depart at NAIA. The number of passengers arriving and departing on flights to Manila makes it one of the world's fifty busiest airports. From NAIA, passengers can head straight to their accommodations or board a domestic connecting flight. You can travel to many Philippine vacation spots through connecting flights, including Davao, Puerto Prinsesa, and Laoag. You can also reach the famous beaches of Boracay through flights to Manila and Cebu.

An hour and a half away from Manila is the Clark International Airport. It serves fewer airlines, but is often where cheap flights to Manila from other Asian countries like Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Vietnam land. Airlines usually provide free transport to Manila from Clark.

Traveling by Sea

If you are not prone to seasickness, you can spice up your stay in the Philippines through sea travel. The Port of Manila, the largest seaport in the Philippines, serves as the center for sea transport. You should consider traveling by sea if you want to visit locations like Palawan or smaller islands known for their perfect beaches.

Traveling by Land

Tourists fresh from their flights to Manila don't have to look far to find something to do. Manila is the heart of the metropolitan area, connected to other cities through different forms of ground transportation.

The famous Philippine jeepney is one option if you want to explore Manila itself. The jeepney is unique to the Philippines, which makes riding one a popular goal for foreigners visiting Manila. Unlike regular taxis that bring you anywhere, jeepneys drop passengers off at specific locations along its route. From there, you can either walk or switch to another light vehicle like a horse-drawn carriage.

The cities surrounding Manila include San Juan, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasay, Navotas, Caloocan, and Quezon City. While you can easily hail a cab or rent a car to bring you directly to interesting locations in these cities, there are air-conditioned buses to bring you there at lower costs.

The easiest way to visit other cities in Metro Manila area is by taking the train. The Manila Light Rail Transit System (or LRT) can bring you to several destinations within Manila itself, and links to the Manila Metro Rail Transit System (also known as MRT). The MRT runs through all major cities in Metro Manila. Some MRT stations are located close to major shopping malls like Trinoma in Quezon City, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong, and SM Makati.

Cheap flights to Manila are not difficult to find; many major airlines offer tickets to Manila at discounted prices throughout the year. Remember to keep an eye out for them next time you plan your trip to the Philippines.
