Orlando's Animal Attractions

When booking a trip to Orlando many people tend to follow similar lines for the region, looking at Disney world holidays and getting sucked into the whole theme park experience. It's not just the theme parks that Orlando has to offer though, as you will see as this article takes a look at a few of the great animal attractions on offer in the region.

Discovery Cove

Top of the list is the fantastic Discovery Cove, a great day out for anyone who dreams of swimming with dolphins! Tickets to the park come in one of a couple of variants, swim or non-swim options; there's plenty on offer even if you don't feel like getting wet. The park is located on Central Florida Parkway and offers up an impressive tropical experience with its wide range of wildlife and activities. You can dive in the man made reefs to swim with tropical fish, play with the dolphins in the local lagoon or just enjoy a relaxing trip down the Wind-away River to see a range of tropical birds.
Gatorland

If you're looking for a slightly less wet experience the next item might be more up your street, a trip to the fantastic Gatorland. Located just of the South Orange Blossom Trail, towards Kissimmee, Gatorland is one of Orlando's 'original' attractions. The Florida region is famous for its gators, and the parks a great way to see these fearsome creatures in the flesh. It's not just the American species either; Gatorland has a wide range of more tropical species too. The experience is great for all the family too with the parks excellent educational facilities allowing the kids to learn all sorts of gator related facts.

SeaWorld

The final wildlife attraction on our list is the brilliant SeaWorld. It's a brand that's recognised worldwide and for good reason. Killer whales, barracudas, sharks, turtles, penguins and dolphins are all on show in this fascinating attraction. Located just outside Orlando, off International Drive, the parks a great way to experience a wide range of marine life, but that's not all. SeaWorld also has a range of other experiences to offer, including its impressive rides, like the Kraken or Journey to Atlantis, and a great range of restaurants to enjoy a meal out at.

This is obviously just a taste of all the attractions this fantastic area has to offer, there really are many more to experience. So next time you're in Orlando, why not consider a wild day out!
